Insulation or Façade Surface Treatment Only?

Polystyrene or Cotton Wool?
Polystyrene or cotton wool - polystyrene represents material easy to process. Its main advantages include lower price of the material, better-aligned surface flatness (especially as regards to older items), faster and easier thermal insulation assembly. As compared with polystyrene, cotton wool is more expensive, suitable especially for the items with masonry moisture. The problem with the mineral or glass wool thermal insulation system arises at the moment of the penetration of moisture into the system. Wet wool loses its insulation capacity and the system stops functioning, i.e., the application should strictly follow the erection procedure of a delivered thermal insulation system.
